Talking 98 Ram with issues

Hello, I'm new to the forum and I have some questions. I recently bought a 98 ram 318 auto 4wd standard cab short bed with 130k miles on it about 6 weeks ago. It runs real good 90% of the time. Recently it has started acting up.
1.) At cruising speeds it will just start cutting out for no reason but I've never had it do it under acceleration but when it does start cutting out it and I give it gas it has a hard time getting going again but then it may not do it for days.
2.) Yesterday I stopped at a guy's house and left it running and when I came back out it was idling really low like it had a gigantic cam but when I hit the gas it would rev up like nothing was wrong then go back to idle and slowly start idling slower and slower.
3.) I have absolutely no power in overdrive. It will start to lose speed and I try to give it gas and it just bogs the engine then downshifts.
4.) When driving through town I get a pulsing squeak coming from the front end. When I turn to the left it gets worse and more high pitched and squeaks when going straight and goes away when turning right. I thought it might be a bad wheel bearing but I've always been told it was always a humming noise and not a squeak.
5.) I have a lot of play in my steering wheel before the truck reacts going down the highway. I tried bleeding my power steering and I noticed that when I barely turn the wheel the tires do move, so I believe this is just an alignment issue.

I'm getting ready to dump some money into it this winter so I want to make sure I replace and repair the correct things. It's more a play toy and something to get me to work in the snow so I'm not overly worried about it but I like to restore vehicles so this is kind of a side project to my 2000 SVT lightning. I have a mechanic that would look at it for me and wouldn't charge me much to tell me what's wrong but it kind of takes a lot of the fun out of it and I've always had good luck with forums like this.

1) Scan the PCM for codes to begin with.
2) Clean the throttle body and IAC. Check for vacuum leaks.
3) It's a high mileage 5.2L. Don't expect too much.
4) Check the brakes.
5) Your problem lies in the linkage and possibly the gear, not the p/s system. The alignment is almost certainly out.
