Default Rev limiter?

Got my predator saturday and I set my rev limiter at 6000. Feels like I could set it higher but dont know what is to high for the 4.7L motor. But it feels like it is still pulling when it shifts at 6000rpm's! Trying to find out what others are setting their's at for best performance. Also I don't have the MDS or tire size option on my predator and don't know why. Can anyone maybe tell me why? (U7137 is what I have)

Oh ok. Didn't know that. Thought it did since I see ECO go in and out on the dash and thats when I thought it dropped cylinders. Thanks!

I can't set mine higher than 5850rpm on my 2010 Hemi
It cuts out or something between there and 5900rpm regardless of where I set it above

If you set the rev limiter higher than redline that may stress the engine.

On the U7137 tool you should be able to set WOT shift RPM. If not, the guys at DiabloSport can send you a file that you add to the tool and use it to set that parameter.

I set my WOT shifts at about 200 RPM below redline just to insure it shifts at the right point (TCM communications to PCM can lag a bit and the RPM's may go past the shift point before comms are complete) so it don't bump the limiter.

Keep in mind that your redline may not be the optimum shift point because by the time you get there, your HP & torque numbers are probably already beginning to drop off. If you can find the sweet spot on those curves, where they max out, that's your RPM shift point.

6k on a 4.7 seems high.....these motors make power at lower speeds then HEMI's.....i would think you would get better results if you could make it shift sooner then stock....jm2c

I didnt even touch my rev limiter. I let the pre loaded tune do all the work.
