Default question regarding emergency equipment

How well do the systems on a stock ram hold up to emergency equipment? im considering adding a 4 head strobe pack (headlights and taillights) as well as a federal signal pa300 siren system, and a code 3 MX7000 lightbar (4 strobes, 3 rotators, intersections, alleys, takedowns and a traffic advisor) just wondering if there are any areas i should be concerned with

thanks

90% of your draw will be in your mechanical lights.. ie rotators etc...flasher kits with REGULAR bulbs will draw the second most. strobes and leds will draw way less.. if you can get away from extra rotators, do so if you are running close to your max amp draw / alternator output.

It will help out a lot to change ur regular lamp bulbs to LED's if you can.

my equipment is so old, that most of it was built in 1994, talk about major amp draw
i'll be glad when ALL the USA allows LEDs & Strobes, i'm running out of lithium grease trying to keep the old equipment running

I was going to ask why so many on here seem to lean more towards strobes and rotating lights...I guess it is some sort of legal thing? we have completly phased out strobes with our equipment here and only have a few of the old code 3 roof grinders left in service. Our stuff now is almost entirly LED based. Are the laws in the process of being changed in some states?

Before I took off my equipment to start modifiying my truck (Old whelen light bar, federal signal siren/pa/speaker setup, and arrowstick) and gave it to my buddie for his ram it held up pretty good.. I upgraded to a 140amp alternator for the just in case factor.. but i never had a issue... I do however suggest the LED's just due to the increased realibility of them, and the low power draw.
