So they proceeded to replace the muffler....... I dont know about anyone else, but this makes no sense to me. The tech came to tell me what he did, and proceeded to tell me the phase I was waiting for "they probably all make that noise." So here is my question to all users on here with a 4.7 or 5.7, Does anyone else have a whining noise in the front of the truck above 45mph??

yes mine does this as well, although i think its louder coming from the back 5.7L 4x4, only 5000km but stared around 2000k

Getting my rear pinion bearings replaced as I type this. 2010 CC with only 13,500 miles. Hopefully that fixes it.

No weird noises on mine, except when I full throttle it onto the freeway. At that point my wife terror-grips the passenger door handle and starts making weird noises I usually assiciate with a dying animal. But that's hopefully covered under warranty. Wish me luck!

noises transfer in our vehicles, what may sound like it is coming from the front, may becoming from almost anywhere
especially if it is coming from an exhaust rattle, it can even be felt in the brake petal

the engineers spend hundreds of hours making our vehicles close to perfect, they would NEVER produce a vehicle that makes noise, even from tire noise, much less any more important part, so the statement ' they all do that' , is nothing but BS
