Default Remote start question...

My remote start used to activate my heated seats and steering wheel automatically...I can't seem to find anything in the manual other than how to start the truck with the key fob. the only thing I found in the "evic" was to disable the remote start al together...

btw, the remote start, heated seats and heated steering wheel all work if manually selected.

any help is greatly appreciated.

If I remember right, you program them as apart of the memory seat if you have them so set everything how you want then save it. Could be way off base though.

I have the 2010 sport quad like yours, and i find that when the temperature outside drops way down around mid thirty`s, only the drivers seat heater and steering wheel heater are then activated if you leave the heater controls on for floor/defrost. Try that with yours and see if that makes any difference. My own opinion, i think they come on automatically when its cold outside. I have YET to find any other way they work when using the remote start features, other than just turning them on manually after putting the key fob into the switch and turning it on. If thats the case, thats a sweet feature...! Truck will always be warmed up and ready by using the remote start.

with my '09, i found that when i'm ready to park the Ram for the day/night, i set my climate controls for what the morning conditions should be. if its going to be chilly, i set the temperature to 75 degrees F , if its going to be a hot day, i set it to 67 degrees F.
Then i turn the fan to about mid range
I forget what i keep the other 2 settings to, recirculate & vent positions

So far i am happy when i use the remote start & get into the Ram about 5 - 10 minutes later
