Yea Ive seen dealers sell cars as is if they dont want to pay to fix things...

Its funny Ive found stories of people trading in cars where the air doesnt work, a cylinder doesnt work, big stuff etc and the the dealers never call them back.

Funny I got called abotu head light bulbs.

Ram you are correct. Sending a vehicle to the service department for reconditioning does not mean repairs. Just stating the obvious about the vehicle going through the service department.

If it's too much , they can wholesale the car off . Don't feel bad . Drop off a pair of bulbs if it'll make them feel better .

This is an interesting experience!

First off, I would be shocked if there was anything they could do about the deal they are unhappy with, so wouldn't be concerned at all. One thing I noticed through all your posts though, is the 'salesman' makes many references to the manager not being happy, as well as claims of 'tons of problems', but only directly referring to the same few with emphasis on the headlight bulbs. If there are 'tons of problems', list them! Also, if the manager is so upset, why hasn't he contacted you directly?

Personally, I think the salesman got his pee pee slapped, and is wanting you to bail him out. Having said that, I personally think the headlight bulb issue is 'nit-picky' on both parts. Yours for not installing a couple of cheap bulbs to make the vehicle 'legal' to drive, and on their part for make such a huge issue of it.

Enjoy your Ram! Enough time has past, that if there was any recourse, it would already have been exercised. But in the future....do the right thing.....install the bulbs.

^^^^ What he said ^^^^ I know personally that the dealership will stick it to you on closing. I had to actually debit $17.00 when I picked my wifes SUV up because the estimate on the license plate was off by a bit. I thought at the time, those cheap B#$##@ds. So the way I see it you have a done deal and your loan is cleared off. I do agree with the other postings that you should have replaced the bulbs before dropping it off.

ok, so let me see if i have this right. they had the car for 3 weeks and just discovered a bunch of stuff wrong with the car? Aside from the headlights which you openly admit to leaving out of the car, how do you know they didn't do something to the car while it was there for 3 weeks. I'd tell them to pound sand.

Tell em to scratch. You didn't lie to them. And they didn't take posession of the car at the deal. When we bought our ram we had a sight unseen quote on our charger. I was ok with the offer as they had a cleaner charger on the lot for a grand more asking price(same motor and mileage) But they too posession of the car after we signed all paperwork(should have looked at it before to be honest. Not that anything was wrong. Funny thing is they sold it a week later and the other car is still sitting there. But in the end the deal is done and shame on them for not looking at your car and making notes before you drove off in the truck. As stated they try to get away with anything they can and its good that they were on the other side this time.
