I just finished a tank driving only local and it showed and average of 16.1 mpg. The older Dodges are rough on fuel but Dodge has made some great improvements in the last couple of years. This truck gets the same gas miles as The 05 Chevy I just traded, and has way more power........I'm more than satisfied!

I average 13-14mpg in town. When we go on long trips on the freeway we have gotten as high as 21mpg! Amazing since MDS is turned off and we have a 91 Oct tune.

Last Saturday drove 250 mls through the mountains on highway 2 and back to Seattle on 90 averaged 18.7. Climbing on 2 between 50 and 60 going down on 90 averaged 70. Calculated the old way.
Also what is city driving? sitting at lights and sitting in slow moving jams lights stoping you at every couple of 100 yds I have gone below 10, but going a distance at 35, 40 in traffic get maybe 13.5. Rear axle 3.92

I get a combined mpg of at least 15 in my 4x4. On the highway get around 18.5-19 mpg. I also have the lower gear ratio 3.55 i think

Yep, I'm right where you are. I also found that my MPG dropped about 1 MPG recently and that was due largely to colder weather - upped the PSI in my tires a little (I run them 38 hot) and now I'm right back to an overall average of around 16, with highway and in-town driving.

Best I've ever gotten was on a run home from Lake George back to Northern NJ - hit 21 and then as soon as I got back into town, dropped down to around 16.

Can't really complain - I'm satisfied with it so far.

Around the city, if I take it easy (which is not easy) I get around 16.5 mpg. Normal driving gets me around 15mpg.
