Default Rear Window Protection - BackRack

As I was putting some tree branches on my 2010 Ram this weekend, I accidentally hit and dented up the part just under the rear window.

Thank goodness I didn't smash up the window. I went ahead and fixed the dent myself but now looking for some protection just in case.

I like the "BackRack" but its a bit more pricier than the "Great Day Ride N' Rack" version below.

Anyone here use this rear window protection by anychance? Anyone got pics or reviews?

Thanks.

Based on your description of what happened, that rack would not offer you any protection.

If you're handy with a welder, you can build a frame and put a heavy duty metal screen on the frame. Probably save a bunch of $$ in the process. Not to mention the satisfaction of doing it yourself.

I have an RKI headache rack that I picked up off craigslist for $100. It was a steal, someone had already dropped something on 2 of the louvers but I straightened them out as best I could and tacked them back up. It fits my truck perfectly, I was really lucky. Keep an eye out for deals, I cant justify spending $500 on one.
