UTI would be a good choice. One of our best techs here went there. The money in this business isn't as good as what you'd make with UPS but the work isn't the same thing day in and day out. If you decide to get into this line of work, going to school at a place like UTI is a great way to start rather than coming up through on the job training like I did. If you work for a dealership, there will be a lot of brand specific training to follow afterward.

Kayaked with guy that was an aircraft mechanic for FedEx. After his training, he went to work for FedEx slinging boxes for a year, until a slot opened up in aviation. When it did, he had the inside track, as he was already employed by FedEx. Said he had the best of both, good pay with benefits, and doing what he liked. Best of luck!

BTW- pretty good job security, until they figure out how to fix a car from India!
