Default Question about torsion bar lift

Hello I'm new to this site. I wanted to know if by adjusting my torsion bars will it raise it enough for 33" or 34" tires. If so what else would i need to do to the truck to level it.

for starters, if you have the factory 20" wheels, the stock tire size is a 33" tire and you can get away with a 34" without doing anything

stock size is 275/60/20 a 34" would be 275/65/20

if you want a wider tire but same diameter 305/55/20 will be like a 33x12.5
hope this helps.

as for cranking the t-bars, it will work, they offer kits aswell....have never figure out the point behind the new keys though haha!

Thank you Ruffian11 for the info. So as far as cranking on the torsion bar to level my truck is it ok or would I be better off buying a kit with all the bushings and hardware?. Just trying to make a move before I go hunting this year. Also I need new tires so what better time to do this than now

i did some searches you should be fine with cranking the torsion bars, the new keys are just metal peices thats it, no bushing etc....they are indexed differently so you can crank your bars more than the factory ones! so go for the crank and get some meat under there

let us know how that goes b/c im considering just getting under my truck and cranking em to the stops and backing down a 1/4 to a half turn like I saw alotta people do w/ Dakotas, I wonder if this makes em more prone to breaking
