Default What size is the outer axle nut??

I was set to replace my pass side front axle bearing tonight until I discovered the the nut is bigger than anything thing I have and a pipe wrech or crecent wont fit. I'm going to tractor supply tomorrow to get a set of sockets, is this metric or standard and what size? Mine looks to be about 1&11/16 but dont want to buy twice, any help?

Since I had to figure it out for my self I can tell you it's metric... but a 6point 1&3/4 3/4 drive did the job w/o a hitch!

A 1-11/16 is what I use. Sorry I didn't see this thread sooner.

The 1-3/4" works just fine as long as it's a 6 point. I think the metric size is a 42 mm.
