Default Cobra Road Trip

Hi all, not sure where else to post this so here it goes...

Has/Does anyone use the Cobra Road Trip CB radio? I know a few 4x4 clubs use them and it seemes like a good alternative to a permanent CB in the truck. If anyone can share their experience with it, or tell me why I should (or shouldn't) get it I would appreciate it.

My first guess is that its portable. People will use them all over for camping trips, hiking, and bike riding. It comes with a 12v power cord so you dont burn the batteries. If I bought that though first thing is Id get a better antenna. I prefer Wilson. They make a very good CB antenna.

I went down to my local 4Wheeler shop and ordered one. Seems like it was a good purchase. When I asked the salesman if he thought it was a good radio and he pulled his out of the drawer behind the desk. He showed me all the features and said that his 4x4 club used them for their trips. Actually the two other salesmen chimed in and said they use it as well. It is what it is....a portable CB with only a couple mile range, but its perfect for hitting trails with friends. For those that dont want to install a permanent CB and dont need the power/range of one this might be the way to go. Ill let you know after I pick it up on Saturday.
