1999 Ram 1500 5.2L wont start or run at idle. It will start with part throttle, and will run normally as long as some throttle is applied, as soon as the throttle is let off and the rpms drop below 500 or so the engine dies. The engine started and ran fine when I last used it yesterday. No check engine light either. Thanks for any help.
i had this same problem with my 99 ram 5.2L it would run but ran very poorly once u did get it started sry i can't tell u the exact fix but i had plans on replacing sensors and a tuneup neway
i replaced my map sensor idle air control sensor and my throttle position sensor and new plugs and wires (auto pro series and ngk plugs to be specific)
but also noted that i did replace the idle air control valve first before ne of this and it still had trouble starting and had intermited stall at idle run and idles great now tho
watch out for the map sensor tho big $$ around here 70-150 bucks
