Default lift and clearance advise needed

i bought some rims and tires and am trying to figure out if i can get away with a 3" inch lift for like rough country in order to fit them on my truck. the rims and 20x10 with a negitive 26 offset and the tires on them right now are 325/60/r20 but im actually going to pick some tires up tomorrow that are the same size but a hair skinnier i know that a 6 inch is the best way to go but i dunno if i want to spend that much just yet so any advise and info would be a huge help my truck is an 02 1500 2wd

sorry if somebody has already posted something similar but i couldn't find any answers when i looked thanks

i have an 06 ram 4X4 with a 5 inch fabtech suspension... it clears 35's but the tires still rub a bit when i reverse... the rims are 20X10's and the tires are 35X13.5X20... dont know if that helps...

If I was you I would look into a little bit taller tire. 305/55/20 is the same height as the stock tires just a little wider. With a 3 in. lift their's going to be a decent sized gap in the wheel well.
