Default Max Boost?

Anyone here know how much boost and 03 hemi block can hold if it had all forged internals.

I still consider myself a new guy when it comes to Dodge motors so I don't know the answer to your question but I think the question you want to ask is how much HP can the block handle with all forged internals.

Boost is a measure of how efficient the motor is and depends on many variables...CAI, throttle body size, intake, heads, headers and exhaust. It's possible to have two identical size HEMIs, both boosted and the one with less psi might make more hp just because it's more efficient.

Hopefully some others with jump in but I would guess you could easily see 900-1000 hp with your iron block. I'd be more worried about the transmission, driveshaft and the rear suspension hooking up even in the 600 hp area.

Auto Tranny go boom quite easily with anything over 550hp.

I wouldn't push it to it's limit. I'd go at about ~7psi, not over 10. Play it safe, Lol.

He is talking about forged internals...not the stock cast components. The block and internals will handle 700-800 hp all day long if you go forged. Like stated before the transmission will be the weak point.

There are tons of alum blocked & alum head Mustangs out there making 600+. An iron block will be even safer. Hell I've been running 10 psi (490 rwhp) on my stang for 2 years.

I already have a built transmission, so I don't have to worry about that. I am debating on getting a built 392, 426, or build up my motor and run a lot of boost. What would you guys do.

392 or 440 any day lol. did you machine your clutch packs or just buy a fortified transmission? how much did your super charger kit cost?
id run 8 psi if its a daily driver and maybe 12 for racing. 8 is a good number with proven results for our motors. 10-12 is sick but still never go past what your suspension can handle. wasted power does you no good.

I have a buddy that built it for me. Its got all new clutches and all the good stuff. I bought the truck with it, but i know you can get it for 3500 on summit racing. I'm running 7psi.

the block still wont be your weakest link......the block will hold more then you are gonna make......a good tuner is what you need.....and since you ask this question i think you are probably pushing your limits allready....no pun intended.....

Do you have upgraded head gaskets? If not I would consider cometic and ARP head studs as well
