Default in-dash touch screen

Hello guys im new to the site and i have been a dodge owner for a very long time and I love them. i have a 2010 caliber and i had a 2000 dakota but i just sold it to my step father. Now to replace my truck i just bought a very nice 05 dodge ram quad cab and wow i love it. Now my caliber has a touch screen with sat. radio and i have to have it in my new truck. the question is, can i put some kind of player in the dash or do i need to do a flip up kind. it doesnt matter but i would like the idea of having nav. on it and sat and maybe HD radio. any inputs would be great.

Welcome!

I know that Chrysler had a Navi for that year, but i'd go aftermarket, as the Chrysler navi is not a touchscreen

a flip up would work for sure, but maybe you would be able to modify the dash to fit a nice navi unit?

P.S> what radio do you have in your Caliber? the RER, REN or RBZ?

I just had this done a couple of weeks ago in my 05. Ended up getting it done professionally for a number of reasons but I'm sure if your not concerned about cutting up your dash bezel and are comfortable working with plastic or fiberglass then there isn't much to it. I've got pictures I can post up once I get home, just have to get the file size shrunk down a little bit. If anyone has any tips for that lemme know lol

Here are the pics I mentioned, sorry for the bad quality. It's a Pioneer AVH 3200BT and the guy who had installed it said he used plastic when modifying the dash due to being easier to work with and fiberglass cracking in my climate. While it doesn't have Nav yet I do intend on adding it in at some point with the add on AVIC unit pioneer offers. The second pic is the install of the mic to make use of the hands free bluetooth. Haven't extensively tested it but I've been told it sounds better than the U connect which my dad has been using. Good luck!
