I've seen several on various sites but they came out from under the bumper and in my humble opinion look like crap. They didn't come up in front of the grille, rather they stop just above the bumper.

That is a bull bar..the grill guard goes all the way up in front of the grill and can actually extend out to cover the headlight area. I myself prefer the Bull Bar and I will be installing mine this evening.

I have a bull bar and love it! It has an intigrated front skid plate and has two slots for trail lights. Its perfect for me, I know a lot of people on here dont like them, but when there is an unexpected obstical in the road and you hear a big "CLANG" and you stop and look under your truck and all you have to do is wipe a little smudge mark off of your bull bar.....priceless! I have several pics in my albums on my profile if you want to see. Just click on my name and then go to all my albums. I have an Aries 3" bull bar.

Cool! The worst part of the install was having to balance the bar on my knees while under the truck to get it to line up with the brackets! LOL! My 11 month old was just looking at me like "you know dad.....your an idiot! You never ask anyone for help" I just looked at her and said "thats right kid, and thats why things are always done the right way around here!"
