Ok so its been a week now and all is well. The heater is great, runs great, fuel is about the same , maybe slightly better and the engine light has stayed off so lets hope all is fixed.
The temp gauge is just under half way when hot which is where it ran before and where the last Ram I had ran so I think that the 195 thermostat is the best.

Well it has been a few months now and no problems even when it was - 35 deg cel outside so I think I have cured it.
