I too agree with the new Ram at the start. I am getting like 21 - 22 / 100kms. I knew it would get better but I am hoping it does sooner then later haha. Seems like I am filling up every couple days!

Still did not get a increase in gas mileage however big increase in power. My buddy (a owner of 2008 Ram 5.7)than told me if you ease down on the pedal and take off slow and build up the speed the gas mileage will increase. So I filled the tank and got 588kms and the truck told me I still had 80kms to go when I refilled the tank with 104liters the truck said I was getting 16 liters per/100kms. So take it slow when starting off and your mileage will increase. It is also true on the highway you will get around 15 to 16 per 100kms. Drive it like a Charger and you can forget getting good gas mileage. As far as the claim by Dodge for gas mileage it must have been on a flat track driving at 90kms per hour lol.
I hate to be a prick but REALLY? Someone had to mention that not flooring it off the start saves gas? I never have said anything before on this forum that might offend someone but I had too say something here haha. Sorry man just seems wack

Sorry buddy but its the nature of this beast..when you have horses. you need to feed them.. more horses= more feed...lol..
The comment about more horses more feed isnt necessarily true. If you add mods to your motor it will make it have better power and better mileage. So really the bigger the vehicle and the more weight would be the reason to the bad MPG. The power is a problem when you hit the throttle too much, keep off it and enjoy when you want it.

After putting on nice mud tires I have been watching my gas slowly drain faster and faster. But I am still getting 15-19/100kms

In my first 5700 kms I have averaged 15.8 L/100 kms on the screen, a combination of city and highway. 50/50. I know hand calculation will probably be different.

I've been averaging around 20L/100km over the winter, driving around in town, while using the remote start to allow the truck to heat up and using 89 shell gas. My truck only has 4500km on it. I drove from Prince George to Edmonton through the Rockies and was able to get 14.3L/100km.

I have a 2010 and i've had mine for 6months with 10,000K. I've noticed my Fuel Economy is the same as when I first got it. Maybe even a bit worse. I average anywhere to 9-12 Galons in the city. HWY I can do much better though. maybe 14-19 MPG

have just over 1000k on mine now and average 15-16/100km..finally filled it for the second time just yesterday (ouch...where the frig these prices coming from...GRAB!!!)
i've hoofed it to the floor quite a few times highway and street (i'm not one for speed limits or sitting behind people doing 100k in the fast lane)
i'm doing prob 70/30 split, highway being the more travelled of the two but i'm rarely getting her below 120 kph, hitting 149kph on a few occasions
ya, getting her moving likes to get the "gauge" peaking at the 30+ but so do the hills i have to climb on the way home...and the QEW is def. not made for ECO mode
you figure all that money they just wasted on it they coulda flattened it out a bit
i use 87o

@torontoscott..

try it over a couple of fill-ups to get a better average
remember to reset it
weather/temp is all gonna make a difference, don't let 300k be a defining bit of info

well i read a lot about gas mileage on rams and my conclusion is no truck does good mileage, but i do 160km to work everyday in my 2004 1500 with a hem and its all open roads. If i go over 1500 rpm it sucks gas but stay at that or below and i get 20mpg on reg gas. Ok thats pretty slow at just under 100km per hr but thats as good as it gets.Lets get a good diesel in a 1500 and then we may get 25mpg at a good speed. The tech is out there so lets use it eh
