Default 2010 4.7

Hey all. I have a 2010 Quad cab with a 4.7 engine. When we bought the truck it had a check engine light on. Dealer said no problem. We bought it on the weekend so as it was my wife's truck she wanted to bring it home and take it back Monday. Well to make a long story short they had to drop transmission and replace pressure sensor. Kept for 2 days. Go to pick it up and check engine light came back on. Had to replace brain. Get truck and drive it and when slowing down from above 50mph at 42mph the transmission shifts to 4th gear. Well they tried to fix it and mechanic said he did all he could. Well it didn't fix it and now it is making a real loud roaring sound when driving down the road. The dealer can't seem to get it fixed. Can I make the dealed except this back as a lemon because this will be the 4th time I've taken it back for same reasons? Sorry so long but I could tell a lot more but this is just the major issue.
Thanks All.

When you say they replaced the brain, which module are you talking about? Todays vehicles can have upwards of 30 seperate modules that a linked by various data busses. When slowing down and it shifts to fourth is it upshifting or downshifting? I doubt you can invoke a lemon law just yet. If you have another Chrysler brand dealer within a reasonable distance, try taking it to them.

Dodge service just about practically sucks. Individual Dealerships have not power to fix your ride. They have to call Dodge in Detriot on every little thing except oil changes. I would suggest you stop giving Dodge any money and find a mechanic to work on it.

I am done with Dodge! I had rotor warp at 14K miles. Was told the warranty is only for the first 12K. I do not drive hard nor do I stop hard. I have never had a vechicle warp a rotor that fast. Dodge should have fixed it, but the dealership could not do it without corporate approval and they wouldn't. I also have a bad spot right on the center of my hood that is obviously under the clear coat. Again, delaership has to send digital (from a crappy camera) pictures to Dodge corporate and they deny stating foreign debris...

When dodge starts caring about its customers and stops caring about its bottom line a little more, then I will be back. Until then, no more of my money goes to dodge...

Therefore, find a good mechanic and get your truck fixed or get a different brand.

...steps down off box...

Your problem stems mainly from a shitty dealership. I can tell you that if we had a similar case with the brakes that they would be goodwilled (this can be done without corporate approval). As for the paint, corporate probably would have to approve that.

RamTech... Thanks. Yeah, I know, but it really Pisses me off that I have to pay to fix something like that. I am going to a body shop to see if it can be buffed out or clay-barred. If not, then looks like custom paint for the truck. The problem is that I love my Dodge! I just hate that the company is doing such a crappy job with customer service at this time.

Don't quote me on this but I am pretty sure you have to notify them you're seeking a Lemon Law action against them and then they have 3 attempts to fix the truck and they can't have the truck for more than 30 days and then you can actually apply for the Lemon Law - So, I think any previous attempts by them get wiped clean once you start the Lemon Law process. There are websites that can offer far more detail. Good luck.
