i have a 2001 5.2 v8 dodge ram motor no problems. and i bought a 1999 dodge durango v8 with a bad motor so is it possible to drop the motor and put mine in

Should be a piece of cake, especially if the Durango already has the 5.2 PCM in it. You may find a couple of sensors with different plug ends but I'm pretty sure everything will be the same.

I second Ramtech above. I made a post about it but it got deleted because it referenced another forum. I know of several people who have done it. You may have to switch a couple harness wires and install a couple dummy loads for some sensors (for instance, I believe the 97 and up Daks exhaust have another O2 sensor just in front of or behind the cat) and maybe switch ECMs depending on tranny and options. I love the way you think 05atlanticblue. The 5.9 would be nice. unfortunatley the guy i was buying the durango sold it from underneath me even after my deposit(got it back tho) so im gonna get a '00 dakota ext
