Default 110V Power Inverter on a 2010 ST (SXT)

Has anyone installed the 110V outlet available on the higher trim 2010 Ram 1500 onto a ST/SXT?

I am considering installing and would like to know if the wiring was already there and what else would need to be bought. I am assuming that I would need the Power Inverter and the dash button. Anything else?

What about a Parts fische that would have the dash part breakout?

Any help would be appreciated.

I know this is an older post but did you ever figure out how to do this? It's something i've been wanting to do since I bought the truck.

I'm sure it's possible to add the stock outlet to your truck but it may be easier to use aftermarket parts behind the scene. Mount an aftermarket inverter under the seat and then extend the AC out to the factory plug. So that it can't drain the battery use a relay to power it on only when the truck is on or add a switch to the dash for convenience.

Remember the factory outlet is only two prong and is meant for small loads like laptops etc. If you want a three prong plug you might need to do some hacking. However, I believe the 2012 inverter plug is a three prong. Since the dash didn't change in 2012 it might be possible to use that plug rather than the 2010 which is only two prong.

I have the factory setup but if I was adding a plug I would go with a 1000w pure sine wave inverter under the seat and extend the plug to the factory dash. Now the dash plug doesn't need 1000w but an inverter that size will have two outlets. One can be sent to the dash for convenience and the other would be accessible under the seat should you need it. The one under the seat would also be a three prong if you end up with only a two prong in the dash. In the long run I think it would be a better setup and cheaper than trying to go all factory.
