Default So whats the deal with the '09's and level kits?

Hey guys I've seen more than a few threads here about people having problems with 2009 Ram 1500's and level kits, involving shocks and CV joints. Anyone else have anything to add? I had my heart set on a daystar level and new tires until I started seeing these other threads...

Forgive my ignorance. But why do anything to the rear to level a vehicle? It sounds counter intuitive to me..

To add on to the initial question and requesting more info from users like FDBDW, has anyone else installed the MOPAR Performance leveling kit (P/N P5155211 MSRP of $199.00) for the '09 and '10 Ram's and have any more info to add about the ride quality?

And, this kit is made by Superlift (P/N 40019) for the '09 and '10 Ram's, so we can get that out of the way and move on to the real question of ride quality of the MOPAR kit as well as the Daystar kit in the initial question. Not to be rude, just trying to cut to the chase.

Very happy with the stance, ride quality did not change, no wobble that some complain about, mpg went down a little. Its basicly a spacer that goes on top of the front coils. You will have to get an alignment after install, 2" mopar kit made my truck almost dead level, just a hair off but nothing the naked eye can notice, any more questions I will be happy to help

I put the Hell Bent Steel 2" front only level kit on my 2009 and I did not notice any ride differance. I use 4 wheel drive alot and no problems. The front is slightly lower than the rear but no one else has noticed.
