Default Good mods for 2009+ hemis

I was wondering what were good mods for the 2009+ hemis?

Is there any point in upgrading exhaust or headers if you already have duals from the factory?
What heads and cams can be used for these trucks?
Is there any way to make the R/T hood functional?

If you want your truck to be louder, you could pick up a Magnaflow or Flowmaster muffler and go that route.

Cold air intake , a programmer , and better exhaust . Not necessary to do a complete exhaust changeout . Your stainless steel and mandrel bent exhaust already . Just do your muffler(s) .

As for tune, I'm gonna get my truck custom tuned so that I can get the rev limiter in park and governor taken off since I topped out at 115 yesterday and can't rev over 4000 in park. Is the afe intake really as good as they make it seem? 18 hp and 23 torque seems unrealistic from that. Any good heads or cams for our trucks? Out of curiosity, can we use 6.1 hemi heads?

Hey bro - the Diablo tuner will let you do all of that. They have octane specific programs pre-installed and you can tweek your rev limiter and your govvy. LOVE mine.

Feel free to PM or give me a ring

Id say a $300 handheld tuner should be on top of the list for best bang for the buck. You cant go wrong with any of them.

As for CAI..AFE stage 11 was a total fail for me, I cant speak for others though. Search thru CAI Evaluations thread, theres some facts and figures on many CAI in there.

Not trying to be mean here, but you might want to research a bit more. The new Hemi heads are essentially 6.1 that are de-tuned just a bit. Same ports for the intake and exhaust, which is why 2003-2008 Hemi intakes and exhaust don't work on these.

Programmer, new air filter and smoother intake pipe (stock air intake is a great design already, just needs a straight pipe instead of the crumpled hose from the box to the throttle body), 180 degree thermostat, and changing out the Y-pipe/muffler is going to be best bang for the buck.
