Question Another Leveling Kit ?

Ok i have found alot of information on leveling kits. There are alot of people using ReadyLift kits. I have to ask is there a difference between ReadyLift and the ones on say Ebay. There is a place called HellBentSteel that makes a really nice part out of steel insted of aluminum. Can there be that much difference? Has anyone heard of any wobble issues w/09-10'? I have a 10' Crew Laramie that needs the 2" leveling kit in the front. But have to ask is the aluminum kits worth almost $200 more? I have already worked out a deal w/dealer to realign after I get it installed. Thanks in advance for your input.
Oh ya i read the lift changes the angle of the strut will that increase or decrease the clearance from the tire?

It's better to go with a brand name when it comes to a mod like a leveling kit. You don't want any problems due to cheap parts in the future. ReadyLift makes a great kit, I've seen a couple trucks on here with it. Ebay tends to have the cheaper selection of parts, and believe me, you get what you pay for. A lot of the brand name kits come with a warranty, just in case something does go wrong. I'll let some other members with 4th gens chime in on this one

Default Why was my post moved?

Seriously why move a thread to a spot that has no one viewing it? Nor has ever had a post.

No matter where it's moved, people will see it in the "New Posts" link. It doesn't matter what category your thread is in, whenever someone makes a post (like I'm doing) it will get moved to the top where everyone can see it. The moving of threads is to keep the forum organized

Agreed all the members that know the forum click on new posts at the top. This brings you to new posts or posts that have just been replied too.

As for the leveling kits I would go with the reputable brand rather than the cheap one. I would also recommend looking at Bilsteins 5100 shocks. These allow you to raise the truck from 0-2". I have them in my truck and I like the way it lifts it better than the leveling kits spacer. I would recommend getting those if they make them for your truck.

I will take a look for you now

Ok well I took a look and they do not make them for the 2010 but they make it for the 2009. You can take a look at the website if you would like ---> http://www.bilsteincanada.com/index....82_11445_11446

I believe that they will fit on your truck. They must have the same suspension setup. Do not quote me on that it is just an assumption haha

I would also suggest looking at our site supporter RDP. They make suspension components for our trucks. I am sure they will have what you are looking for at competitive prices!

An issue with steel spacers is the corrosion issue, even if they're painted, with the flexing they go through, they will begin to rust and become a lot more likely to fails; the aluminum spacers don't have the corrosion issue.

And don't worry about the thread move, like the others said, we just hit the 'new threads' link and start to enjoy the Z.

I have looked at ready lift (aluminum), hellbentsteel (steel), and daystar (polymer). They all are made here (USA) and have lifetime warranty. I would think the polymer would break down after time. The steel would rust (eventhough they are powdercoated). The aluminum would corrode (i live where they love salt). I am not trying to be cheap just looking for some advice on the lesser of 3 evils. They all have the same principal I just question why readylift went from steel for the 09' to aluminum for 10'. Looking for some that have had good or bad luck with kits.
