Exclamation please help me decide on tire size!!

hello all!! new here! i have an '04 qcsb 4x4 4.7. I am looking to get new tires but wondering if 35/12.5/20 would make my truck a dog?!?! It has a flowmaster exhaust, jet stage one, cold air kit, and leveling kit. It was kind of gutless from the start though now better its still not a Hemi... What can I do? Or will I be ok with 35's??? Any and all advice is greatly appreciated!

I'm getting 33x12.5 Toyo Open Country M/Ts soon and personally i wouldn't go bigger unless i had a hemi

If you have a leveling kit go with 33" tires. The thing with 35s under a leveled truck is they looked stuffed and they will probably rub. If you go 33" then you have less to worry about the truck running like a dog and you will also have enough room under the wheel wells to turn.

If you guys are looking at 275 tires then I dont think rubbing would be a big issue. It is a pretty skinny tire compared to the ones out there. I had 305/55/20 tires on my truck with a 2" lift and it was perfect, no rubbing. If you go 275 in a 34" tire I think you will be alright.

It will also depend on what gearing you have. You can find that on the code sheet/sticker, usually found inside the glovebox door.

Another easy way to see what rear gears you have is by getting under the truck. If you look at the rear end from the passenger side looking towards the rear of the truck (front of the rear end) you will see a tag. It should tell you the gear ratio that you have.
