You try to plan for the best for your truck to run:
air intake; exhaust; tuner, thats the way to go,
I see that there is 70 pgs. of info on the forum site.
I also found out on the CAI to use or not.(great info)
So i know that from 1-70pgs. someone had to talk about exhaust or tuners out there.Just too many to pick from.
well thanks for any info.
pat
we tow a toy hauler 40ft cyclone not loaded 16,000 plus

I have a Mopar cold air intake and Mopar high performance exaust. Both sound extremely good. I also put one of the small chips that installs at your oxygen sensor and this pickup runs real good. I pull a 10500 lb boat in hill country Colorado. Love my truck.

MBRP exhaust seems to be pretty popular for the diesel crowd out here. I've seen mixed results on programmers and seen a few melted turbos due to EGT's and no safeties on the programmers. The only consistently good results I have heard about are from Banks.

Good luck and welcome to the forum!

There are many Dodge diesel sites on the web. I would go to one or more of them to find the answers you are looking for about Cummins diesels. IMHO there is a limited amount of information about diesels on this site, it seems to be more for non diesels. There are many many programmers and exhaust systems for diesels, Banks is just one of them. Banks makes great products but they are by far the most expensive---but probably the safest for your diesel. You can get alot more bang for your buck with other brands.

Don't get us wrong. We aren't specifically targeting non-diesels here, we just don't have a huge population of them yet so I suspect that it's more a function of # of gas vs. diesel units produced and the overall demographic of this site.

I have seen some great Cummins' sites that have some really good info on what works.

I wasn't trying to come across as unwelcoming or unhelpful. There just isn't a lot of info about diesels here. Hopefully we will be able to help you with other questions you might have. I guess I could have worded my reply better
