Default Should I buy a 2010 1500 ram 4x4???

Im looking at buying a 2010 4x4 crew cab 1500 with the hemi.

Im wondering how the traction control etc works in the snow on and off road and if it can be shut off???

do any of the models come with real LSD's or locker in the rear, if not is there a good after-market one available that you could run with all other traction controls etc shut off???
just not sure if i will like the traction systems and to be honest if i get a hemi i want to be able to do a two wheel burnout, sorry my current dd is a 1970 torino with a 460.

Also wondering if anyone has the Ram Box option and how they like it?

Im looking for a 4door since we just had a baby and i want a 4x4 since we get snow in canada and do some camping and go to friends remote cabins all year round. other than that itll be a DD and cart my dirtbikes around in the back.

Also should add, do you guys think the quality is there in this gen of trucks, what ever I buy I want to keep it for at least 10 years or more. I looked at f150s, tundras, and titans, but ive always liked the rams but never owned one.

thanks
mat

Welcome to the Z. Lets see if I can help.

4 door with a family, get the crew cab.
LSD starts with the 3.92 gears
Rambox, I've checked them out. Seems like an expensive soda cooler to me. Doesn't really hold much from what I could see.

Get the remote start.
Get the dual zone climate control.
If you're getting a 2010 do NOT get the Navigation the user interface and the system is horrible at reading the maps it comes with. If you go with a 2011 get the Garmin based Nav.

We have a lot of forums for all kinds of topics, so you shouldn't have any problems finding a place to post questions.

We LOVE pics of Rams.

Here's how to post them: http://www.ramforumz.com/forumdisplay.php?f=73

Welcome to the forum. RootBeer pretty much covered it.

In answer to your single question, "Yes, you should buy the Ram!"

They are nice trucks, my only complaint is the headlights don't shine very well.

you should seriously look at the 2011 Ram Outdoorsman
i would almost be willing to bet if you bought it between December 24 - January 2nd, you could get the best deal until this time next year
It has everything that you mentioned
