Default Figured i would tell everyone about my HHO kit

there has been a long standing debate on whether hydrogen generators or variations of them can actually provide additional gas mileage. A couple months ago my cable repair man was telling me about his mega cab and said he installed one so i bought one myself since the tax write off was worth it, didnt really think it would do anything myself, still breaking it in, but i just read in OFFROAD magazine how they were using the same setup i was and the emissions results were pretty impressive, at the bare least it burns your fuel off better which im sure doesnt hurt in trying to maintain a motor, not that anyone is ever too concerned with that, but i have noticed a 3-5 mpg increase during highway driving, no hard tests done or anything, not really that concerned about it, but i figured i would just mention it. The way i look at it, i spent 350 on an air intake setup that got me a few extra ponies and a couple more mpg so its on par with my spending habits.

They're fun to play with and pretty easy to build. The hard part is keeping the salt adjusted correctly so it doesn't draw too much current.
I built one some time back but I did not seal it well and it blew up. A nice loud pop. Never got back to it.

TO EACH HIS OWN, but for me I have seen them blow up and kill electrical systems, too much of a con for me to ever put one on my cars. HHO has been around since (correct me if i'm wrong) but the mid-70's. If it was worth a flip don't you think that it would have been in manufactured cars a long time ago? I want to see test of someone that has ran one for 10+ years on a car and see what long term effects it has on the entire motor and exhaust. Just my opinion and am in no way attacking you or the HHO systems.

the one i got uses potassium chloride chips to help heat up water and boost current, its a pretty simple setup, i wired it all myself and just ran it off of a toggle switch straight from battery so it cant screw up rest of electrical system. Like i said it was more for the curiosity than the results and just thought i would share, i know there are a million people who love to argue about the different kinds and how they are BS, I just figured i put it in my dodge and this is a dodge site and i would share just like all my other mods.

I found the article i read the other week about them, it was actually the 8-LUG deisel truck magazine which is a leading magazine for truck enthusiasts, it explains the reasoning and the emissions benefits and stuff, good read if anyone is interested.

***AS STATED PREVIOUSLY, JUST POSTING GENERAL INFO ABOUT MY TRUCK***
