Default sound resinator??

i had a flowmaster 40 series muffler put on today and wasnt happy with the fact it was soo quiet, the guy told me i should remove the resinator if i want it to be loud....im new to dodge trucks ive had mustangs all my life, all i gotta do is cut that out and it should sound like its got a muffler right?? id imagine this is why all the dodges are soo loud for stock, they just remove the resinator?? im sure you guys know, thanks.

Welcome to the forum. Take a moment and go to the Newbie Section and introduce yourself!

Yes, taking off the resonator will increase sound.

I had a Dumped Flowmaster Super 44 put on mine and it wasn't loud enough. had resonator removed and it got a little louder. Added headers and a little bit louder. I think the way to get it to be the loudest is to do all of the previous things and have high flow cats put on.

cut the resonator off, dump it after axle...and seriously consider cutouts if you want louder...
