Being that I am a volunteer fire fighter, we are looking to lights and sirens for Christmas! I will keep you all updated if all goes through. For the record, USAA won't insure anyone that is an emergency responder....sigh. This has held us up from doing my lights and sirens.

"USAA won't insure anyone that is an emergency responder"

That is very disturbing. Not to insure the people that are there to help when we need someone the most. I wonder who they'll call when they need someone? I'd love to see the lights and stuff installed on that truck. Volunteers are allowed sirens there?

To be exact, "Our policies aren't written to include first/emergency POV responders". Yes, rtkman, we are allowed lights/sirens, but we must first meet criteria. I have completed my Mod/NPQ/FF1 course and currently will take my exam saturday for Haz/Mat. I have also been with the FD (in Jan) a year. All of those are requirements before our Fire Chief will sign off on our POV's to be equipped. I think we are going to prepare my truck then find a new insurance company. USAA isn't what they used to be and this isn't our first discrepancy with them and their "policies". I will keep you guys updated.

*UPDATE*-truck cannot be properly aligned RIGHT NOW, anyway.
When we bought the BellTech 2/4 drop they advertised that all that was needed additionally with their kit was a camber adjustment, NOT A CAMBER KIT. They claim that the gap of tolerances in factory specs would allow for the camber to be brought back into correct alignment. So we loaded up this morning and took our Ram to our local dealer for an alignment. After 2 or 3 hours we were approached by our tech who told us that our truck COULDN'T be brought back into specs. After a long day, countless minutes on the phone with BellTech and Summit (whom we bought the kit through) and $90 later, it was determined that BellTech gave Summit either a mismarked kit or just a blatant misship and our truck is rolling on a lowering kit for a Regular Cab Ram! However, our tech did the best he could and we no longer rub. Our caster is WAY out of tolerances. That was the only remaining part he couldn't correct. The camber is slightly out of spec and the toe is correct. Now that we are home, we are still dealing with BellTech about getting us the correct parts. Summit commented that we could put back everything stock back on our truck and mail back the kit to Belltech. Not smart! We have yet to speak directly to BellTech the replacement timeline and criteria for processing this issue. BUT WE WILL NOT return my truck to stock only to turn around a week or less later, and tear my truck apart again! The upside, we no longer rub.
I will keep you all updated. BellTech seems anxious to get this right and they were easily within a phones reach. I believe errors can happen, just sucks that's all.
