you see these tv shows where they can pull dna from a thread found under a rock in the desert..yet in a case like this the police could care less to get involved. There has to be fingerprints on the carton, should be easy....

I hear ya !!! The problem these days is that there are no consequences for their actions. What needs to be done when they get caught doing something like this is to force them to do community service (i'm thinking have them detail at least ten RAMs in a row). But the cops and the community do nothing and these kids know they can do this and get away with it. I wish there were a way to find them and have them punished but reality is they will not be found and be out doing this to someone else’s property next weekend.

Question

So I checked today and there may be some remnants of the egg in the clear coat where they were lying on the tonneau cover. Not 100% sure since it's getting damm cold out. But if there is can anyone tell me what I should do, if anything. I heard that using a vinager/water solution can help but is it too late or can I still get it all off if there is anything left ? The problem is that I need somewhere warm and I don't have anywhere that I can take it.

Thanks. Well I just tried "Go Gone" on it and it seemed to have worked. I can't see any cloudiness where the eggs were lying. Once it warms up a bit I will be going at it with AutoGlym and a good waxing. Cross my fingers.... Now I hope it was just random and will not happen again. I did file a police report and I suspect someone at my Son's school was involved however no names, no evidence and no proof...

That totally sucks!!!!
Here we have a few car wash's that are the indoor wand style, where you pay by the minute/hour. It may cost a few bucks, but it's heated. I figure if they have them in a place as small as Brandon, you should have plenty to choose from in the Toronto area. It's been a few years since I was out that way, but I did use one in Burlington....

If there is any good in this, at least they didn't hit a side panel right on the paint. I have had that happen to me in the past, and even though I was able to clean it minutes after it hit, the egg shell cut through the clear and paint.....
Hope you come out of this with no visible damage.

Thanks Brad, it was warm enough this past Saturday (before the deep freeze) so I was able to back her into my garage and do a really good cleaning. Turns out two eggs hit the rear window and fell down onto that plastic piece between the cab and bed so no perm damage from them. There were still some shells left down there so I power washed them out. Unfortunately one of the eggs hit my cover and did leave some permanent marks in the clear coat. It's hardly noticable however so overall I consider myself pretty lucky. I just hope it dosen't happen again.

I'd find out who did it,have my truck fixed and give their parents the bill. There's nothing a father hates more then paying for something they don't own.

Well it F@$#ing happened again and I am so frustrated. My truck was hit on the drivers door and rear passanger door. I power washed it off however there are marks in the clear coat. We suspect a kid at my Sons school is involved and we are going to speak with the VP at the school on Monday morning. I hope this is the right approach to take as I am afraid what might happen to my Son if we do this. I'm looking for some advice, what would you guys do other than getting out your shotgun and hunting them down.

Holy crap Rans, really sorry to hear about this happening again! Talking to the VP at the school sounds like a good start. Does your son have any idea who this little punk might be? Guess my next question would be is he having problems with anyone at school, somebody bullying him? I mean what kind of repercussions could talking to the school have for your son? Just a couple questions that come to my mind, but man that sucks!
