What does something like that cost? I would love to give a great detailing job to my truck, but with 3 kids and a full time job that seems more than full time. I just don't have the time, or the place(truck is too tall for my garage). You don't have to give me an exact amount, just a rough estimate of what I would look to put out to get that done on my truck. Thanks

Victor

By the way, that looks awesome.

A decontamination, 2 step polish, interior, engine bay, etc would cost from $250-$500 depending on the size of the vehicle and who is doing it. Some shops [licensed, insured, professionals] will charge $60+ an hour, and it could take from 5 hours to 40 hours depending on what you wanted done. You could find someone who would do it for cheaper, but if you are seriously looking for someone to detail it, find the guy who will do it right the first time.

A detail is one place where you truely get what you pay for. If you have someone do the job, PLEASE don't go to someone that gives you a low ball price. Ask for references and call previous customers. Just my .02!!!!!!!

Dang straight. An improper detail will result in more damage than the original condition of the car.

After working on my personal vehicles for a year I essentially have taught myself, along with forum help of professionals on autopia, TID, MOL, etc.

I used a power polisher, a Porter Cable 7424XP Dual action polisher.

NICE, reminds me of one of my fastest and favorite cars...I had a 67 Dodge Coronet 440, 4 spd, posi....... Rootbeer Brown...It had the 383 cu in 325 HP engine, and could handle just about anything short of a 426 hemi or 440 six pack...played hell with the then new Firebirds, 454 chevys and American motors AMX....Thanks for the memories, I miss mine....was stolen from the zoo in Oklahoma, many years ago....
