Just put my 2010 1500 in for the Master Cylinder brake tube recall and to have a defective TPMS sensor replaced. Truck has 2000 miles.
I go to pick up the truck from my Dodge dealer and when I get in and start it up the brake pedal goes right to the floor. WTF? I go right back and tell the service manager to go and take it for a ride. He immediately puts it back in the shop. Turns out the service tech performed the recall (Replaced the brake tubes) but neglected to bleed the brakes after the tubes were replaced.
He claims the recall says bleeding the brakes is not necessary after the work is done.
Anyway, after they bled the brakes the pedal returned to normal.
Those of you putting the truck in for this recall...make sure you have a good brake pedal after they are done. I wonder how many people drive away thinking the sinking pedal is now "Normal".
