Any more questions?
I don't think I was bragging about MDS. Usually the ones that bring up voting for Obama are the ones that did b/c the rest of us want to move on. wrt my MDS info I simply restated exactly what the Ram engineers told all of us that logged into their question and answer session two nights ago. Maybe they were giving out some bad info. I'll pass along your post. They said that they were going to post a script of the enire conversation btw.

Do you honestly think that MDS would operate ot 4700 rpm? Think about how much throttle it would take it run the rpms up that high.

From last night's tech chat...

Wednesday December 8, 2010 7:14
7:15 Ram Nut - MDS will function when the engine speed is between 1000 and 3000 rpm, and the engine is hot. Then whenever the torque required to move the vehicle is able to be met with 4 cylinders the engine will switch to MDS mode. Brian

i have to agree, my o7 hemi has been disabled for several monthes now and i love the truck more then when i bought it new! Best of all i see very little difference in economy! now the current generation trucks seem to have a better tuned mds system and dont act out like mine did, but for my truck it was all for the better!

I hate to say it but fords dont have that MDS bullshit and they get better fuel mileage. its sad that trucks cant make more power and get in the mid 20's for fuel mileage. I hate fords though. DODGE all the way!!!

Hey Maddog, my Mega Cab doesn't have MDS? I thought all 5.7L 2006+ had it?
