Default hot or cold

I have a 2000 ram and the heater either blows full hot or full cool, no matter which location setting it is on it will either blow very hot or cool (no heat at all). temp changes to full hot at about halfway when you move from cool, and goes to full cold at about 1/4 from cold when moving from hot. HELP please!!!

The blend door is cable controlled. If you remove the glove box, you should be able to see where it hooks to the blend door in the HVAC housing. Check and make sure the cable is attached properly and that the door moves and stops in all positions between cold and hot. The door should have about a 90 degree range of travel.

If that doesn't work, you may have to look at the check valves in the engine bay. They are on the passenger side on the vacuum lines coming off the intake.
