Default Water in the fuel tank?

So, I thought that after replacing the battery and the truck relearning the idle that I was all set. Well, now I'm still having issues with starting. After it runs it seems to do fine except the RPM's will dip down and the truck will want to choke out and die...I had to drive with one foot on the gas and one on the brake in order to get home tonight. Anyone think it might be water in the tank? I'm going with the cheapest options first then working up to the more expensive ones. I'm going to put gas additive in the tank to try and work out any water, then check the throttle position sensor, map sensor, and idle air control valve-for what they are, those parts aren't cheap to just go and replace, especially if that's not the problem.

P.S. For some reason, my exhaust seems a whole lot quieter also.??? But then again, it seems like it's idling lower than it was before I had any problems.

Thanks!

Get your hands on a fuel pressure gauge and take a sample from the fuel rail.

just a thought from the peanut gallery

does your exhaust smell sort of like rotten eggs?
if you hit the side of your catalytic converter with palm of your hand, does it sound like its rattling inside
