Question Removing Headlight Assembly

Hello All

I just got my 2011 Ram (and I love it...) but I hate the stock headlights...

We've gotten used to HID in our other vehicles and I feel like I am driving around in the dark.

So I ordered the Recon projector headlights with HID lights to go in them.

I need help...to install them

How do I remove the headlight assembly...are there any tricks to this... I have searched the forum and found some schematics for changing a simple light bulb (OMG!!!)

I hope it easier to swich head light units

Any guidance would be much appreciated

Regards
from Northern Ontario

Thanks I saw that....thought it was specific to the changing of lightbulbs.

Goodness this is going to be complicated. I just unpacked my recons lights...not a single instruction in the box. I guess at the cost of $600 they couldn't break down and label the dozen or so wires sticking out of the back. Sheesh...

regards

Recon has some installation instructions on their website, but nothing "Ram specific" yet.

The Email from the folks at RECON was next to useless, I'm sad to report. The recon employee ended his email with a "Get Lit!" Lol I hope that’s not a euphemism.

Recon doesn't have any RAM specific instructions sadly (only ford and the Toyota)...the general instructions tell me to "splice the positive wires from the Recon's LEDs and Halos to the trucks OEM parking light. Does anyone know which this is...

Do they mean driving lights or is parking lights correct. If it is...which wire is the parking lights?

Uggh,

There is a video shows wiring to the parking lights/running lights.. NOT turnsignals, foglights, or Daytime running lights". They stay on and dont blink or get shut off with high/lows operation. theres a "general" install on youtube.. doesnt look to different except how to get the lights out.

Hope to hear and see Pics from you... Good luck.
