Default occasional random miss fire

About every 1000 miles I get a random missfire and a check engine light? I have put a new cap ,rotor, wires & spark plugs. It goes away after a few days and runs great till it happens again. I have also run about 6 cans of sea foam 1 per tank of gas. Its never the same cylinders.
Any ideas?

Default missfire

My first question is how many miles are on the truck? Have you checked online to see if you missed any service intervals? It sounds like it may pr pre-igniting the fuel. try running mid-grade or premium gas in it once without sea foam. I know my Dodge hates low grade fuel and it hates fuel additives even more.

The truck has 220K on it I have only had it for about the last 15K and have no idea if its the original engine. I will try the premium grade , ofcourse I just filled it with regular.
Thank you

What kind of spark plugs are you running? Are you also running a cheap-o rotor and cap?

ok the higher octane didnt work had a tank full of super and the other day the ck engine light was back on and it was random miss fire. the plugs are auto lite and the cap and rotor are car quest. I will check the wire routing but the wires are also new and It almost seems to far between times for it to be wires.
