Default Best Leveling Shocks?????

Just wondering what the best leveling shocks are (or most popular, cost effective)

I have saw some good things about the Bilsteins on here

Anyone have the RANCHO?

Any pics and or info would be great

I currently have the 2" leveling kit but am strongly considering the shock upgrade next year

Sure would like to see some pics of your truck. Why the new shocks?
Also, how is your camber alignment? Been stuggling to decide on the 2" lift.

Ramathorne I sure am happy with my bilsteins and glad I went that way over a block. The ride quality is way better imo over the stock shocks. I did all four after talking with the distibutor because I tow a 20' bassboat and haul a quad a lot in the summer.

Thanks for the response CRASH
Do you know what the PN's are for the front and rears?
Is it up to 2.8" front and 1.4" rear lift?
Anything else you can tell me about these shocks?
Where you got them and or price etc?
I want to do my homework before I make up my mind in the spring
Thanks!

I agree with Crash about the Bilsteins. I just had the fronts installed & I think the truck looks great ( would post pics but I'm too damn old to figure out how to do that).

I outfitted my 2008 SLT with Rancho RS9000XLs with the "MyRide" wireless adjustment control. You can set the shock tension remotely inside your cab for the truck conditions you want (work/hall/highway, etc.). I like them since I haul work trailers and a boat but also drive on the highway and back roads unloaded at times.

Ramathorne, off the top of my head I can't rmember part#s but tomorrow while I'm in the garage I look at the bill and post for you. I bought my kit from essexdistributors.com and dealt with Gordon Barr he was very knowledgeable about his products and more than happy to talk to me about what I wanted and needed. They took three days to get them to me from BC, I live in Ont. Price for four shocks delivered was $478 for the fronts only $232. Cost to install and re-align was $120. My post on this is here http://www.ramforumz.com/showthread.php?t=67017

My self yes I would do the rears only because I tow my boat on some very rough roads here in the north. Gordon at essex at first told me that because my truck was new I might not want rears but when I told him what I tow and haul he said the ride on the bilsteins would be better for me. Although I have not towed my boat with them yet I can tell you that theride quality has been drastically improved. I don't know if it makes a differance but I had mine installed at the second highest setting which is 2.4" lift advertised and 2'25" of actual lift on my truck
