Default media center 430n video block

is there a way to disable the video screen block on the media center 430n? when you take it out of park it shuts off the screen and you still have audio...so its still playing.

There is a lock-pick you can buy or check out Nav-TV in our vendor area.

I believe that you may have to check your settings. the 430N is new this year & i have not seen the manual for it as yet. There should be a complete RADIO manual that came with your new truck. do you have the Sirius Satellite Radio working, or just AM/FM, the dealer may not have activated your 1 year free plan
the screen should show you NAV maps while driving, you just can't type in addresses while moving, with mine i can either have the radio station screen or the NAV map screen while i'm driving. I have the older radio in my 2009

the lockpick & other such products just allow you to type in destinations while driving

Yup, it's not cheap. Now you just have to decide on what the value is to you to view a DVD in motion.

you won't be able to see a movie playing when moving, that is illegal
you can't enter a address while moving, also illegal

you can view either your radio menu or your nav map while moving

if you need to program in addresses while moving, then you need the the allgig or lockpick, just don't be near me while doing it, PLEASE

I understand and appreciate the limit on the video playback while in motion, but a navigation system restriction is not very appealling. I use a Garmin model now, and often request my passenger to enter an address while in motion. Just an inconvenience having to pull over, stop, park and then do it myself.

I would think both Ram and Garmin would be well protected by the standard legal disclaimer Garmin currently uses. This would allow the passenger/occupant to accept responsibility accordingly.
