talk about a pain in the butt! I put a jvc 7in touch screen in the truck today and it was a super tight fit! I will post some pics of the mods needed to install when I pull it back out to install the sat radio

I wonder if the head unit needs to be inserted at a slight downward angle... On my fathers lil pickup, toyoya or nissan i think, (pos), the unit was like a 15deg downward angle to get it in there... Pain in the rear!

Was about to look for the new dd for myself as well... Holding off temporarily now...

pics on the install!

2 screws on top T20 torx ( if you have the option for a a/c plug under the ac vent there is another screw behind that)

Gently pull the bottom out first

with the cover off unplug all the crap

cut the metal bracket in the back in half( i started to cut it out here)

trim the top half of the plastic cover off about a half inch

reinstall cover pop in some Pantera and jam out lol

Hope this helps guys!

Yes they work but your radio has to be compatible for it (looks like a small headphone jack on the back of the radio)

I also had to buy a ASWC kit from metra that plugged right into the Metra wiring kit. it was very simple to do with no programming at all just plug n play
