Nah, I thought I'd leave it on for now and see how I like it. I figure if I don't like it and I want to take it off, it'll take me ten minutes.

Your truck looks 100 times better. Very impressed with the eraser wheel too.

Just out of curiosity, why do people de-badge the truck? I figured y'all would want to show the Hemi badge since you paid an extra 4 grand for it...

I debadged mine b/c I like the clean look. That and it makes drying the truck a heck of lot easier (no mysterious water drops)

Oh, and my Hemi didn't cost me an extra $4K, it was like 1,800 and change IRC.

WOW I had no idea it was just a sticker! Mine's coming off tomorrow, it's going to be warm here.

BTW, what was Dodge's reason for putting them on in the first place? I always thought it made the truck look cheap.

I'm sure this is in the forum somewhere, but how do you remove the badges?

I left mine on too, it's staying. Although I might switch badges to a different one!

I didn't go quite as in depth as the video shows (No chemicals FTW!), I just used some old fishing line, wrapped it around my fingers, tucked it underneath a corner of the badge and then started to saw back and forth, while pulling from front to back. I tried to warm it up first with a hair dryer (the wife was PISSED!) but in my opinion that just kinda gummed up the glue.

Once the badges popped off, the double sided tape was there in the perfect form of the letters. I then used the eraser wheel that I picked up at the NAPA store on my drill and took the tape and adhesive off. I cleaned the residue that left with cloth and some quick detail spray before I washed and waxed.

Also, the eraser wheel worked great at taking the pinstripe off and for removing that stubborn road tar.

Hope it helps!

The eraser wheel in this video is the same one that I mentioned earlier.
