Default spild axle swap?

hey guys so me and one buddys are about to start on a pretty cool project in a few months we are going to sas {soild axle swap} our trucks mine is a 05 ram 1500 and his is a 05 chevy 1500 and I was just wondering if there is anybody out there that has done this if so plz post some pics and comment I would love to here some opinions on this idea

If your doing the front swap look into the rear as well. Find a wrecked 2500 diesel and use the the front AAM 9.25 and rear 11.5.

ya I thought about that but are going to use a soild axle out of a gen 2 actually we are going to just cut the hole front clip out of a gen 2 and use everthing but the frame

Sounds like a fun project. A few guys I wheeled with used the 2nd gen 3/4 ton axles to swap out the 1/2 ton axles for greater strength and to run larger tires, 38+". It was easy on the 2nd gens because both the 1/2 and 3/4 ton are solid axles. I've seen a few Dakotas with sas and they look pretty cool.
