Default I want my Magnaflow!!

Well today has been upsetting so far....I went to the local Muffler Man in hopes of getting an 18" Magnaflow installed. The guy tells me "We don't carry Magnaflow, and your probably gonna have a hard time finding someone who does." Let me tell you this guy was really rude. He comes out like "So what do you want" I said I'm just lookin to do a muffler swap. He says "What's on there now?" I say single in dual out. He says "What's wrong with that?" I say It's not loud enough. He says "well the only thing we carry is Flowmaster." Then I proceed to tell him about the MDS and drone, he says "MD-what?". Apparently a lot of shops in my area have never heard of MDS. Sucks for me. Yeh and he also tried telling me that most of the sound comes from the tail pipes.

So I try a different shop, and the guy tries to talk me into buying an XLerator muffler. I've never heard of it so I was like uhh no thanks.

So, where are you guys getting your Mags from? Are you ordering from the website and then having a local shop install it? Any info is appreciated.

I got the Mufflex system and installed it myself, 18 inch magnaflow ready to bolt in. If you want it welded I would order one online then take it to a muffler shop...not the one you mentioned though as I wouldn't give them any business after that experience.

Which magnaflow model number did you use. Any drone inside cab?

i walked into Express Muffler, i just wanted a louder exhaust, they suggested the 18" Magnaflow, pulled it off the shelf & installed it
single in duel out

they only thing was, i wanted my original muffler & told the guy that i did, that it was still good, only 700 miles on it. the shop guys tossed it in the metal bin *#!^%, the mexican muffler buyers bought the whole bin, before i went back to tell them i still wanted it

do you have ADVANCED AUTO PARTS, 4 wheel parts, off road warehouse, stores near you, they all handle them

I just did mine. Purchased the mufflex system for $264.00 shipped. It is basicaly a magnaflow 18" with a couple of brackets and some pipe welded on. Fits perfect and only took 40 minutes and I am not a mechanic.
