Default 2011 Ram Factory Installed Brake Controler

Any idea how to make a factory installed trailer brake controler activate the brakes of the trailer sooner? It seems to have too much of a delay. Adjusting the intensity doesn't help. Thanks.

There are a few questions you need to answer before telling you which way is best to go.
1. what are you towing?
2 Are the brakes on the trailer new, old or do they need adjusting?
3. How is weight distribution between tow vehicle and towed vehicle?

I was using my Fathers truck this summer to tow my 5th and he has a 2010 with the factory brake controller and I did not notice any difference from the RV style on in my 2002 pickup. I did find it was a little easier to adjust to the perfect stop setting.

I don't have an answer to your question. How about stopping by our New member area and introducing yourself.

The factory OEM dodge brake control doesn't have a ramp timer adjust (delay) unlike the valley or tekonsha brake controls do, which sucks. Unless there is some way to adjust it via your display/message center, then upgrading to an aftermarket and bypassing the factory one (easy to do) may be the only option.
