Sorry guys couple of questions

1.How do I find out what size gears my truck has in the front and rear diff?

2.How do I know if has MDS fitted?

3.What ratio oil do I use for engine and is semi or fully synthetic best

4. Need a new battery - stock recomended by factory or smaller size Optima better?

Call the Dodge dealer with your VIN.

Your profile says you have the 4.7L not the 5.7 Hemi, if that is the case you don't have MDS. Also, I'm not sure the MDS was on the earlier Hemi's. For some reason I am thinking it started in 2007. You can get confirmation when you call about the gears. They will be able to tell you which engine you have and if it is a Hemi whether it has MDS.

Use whatever weight is recommended by the manufacturer, you can get this info when you call about the gears.

I used to go with the Sears Diehards because of warranty but there are tons of equally good batteries out there. Even Wal-mart has great warranties on their batteries now.

What he ^^^^ said!

You can look for a tag on your rear diff cover. Your gear ratio will be the same, front and rear.

MDS was not an option on the 4.7L engine. You don't have it.

Use the manufacturer's recommended weight oil. Check your owner's manual or call the dealer.

Get a battery with the highest CCA rating that fits your truck.
