Extang Solid Fold...

Had the Tri-Fold on another Ram, but decided to go with the Solid Fold this time and it proved to be a good choice. It's a little heavier, and more cumbersome to remove and maneuver, but it is more solid (hence- Solid Fold) and it offers a little more security.

Soft fold back for me, I need the full bed space at times. I also like the look of it.

RollBak hard cover on mine.

It's a metal cover that retracts into a front canister.

You have to do what you want, and buy what you like and can afford, but I was talking to somebody the other day with a soft tonneau cover who said he wish he bought a hard cover.

Of course I live in a snow belt region, so a soft cover to me doesn't make sense?

The kid had the kind that you roll up and tie back when not in use, or roll out and snap into place when needed.

He told me that the material shrinks making it almost impossible to snap shut on his own, it can't hold too much weight without buckling from it, and the wind makes the sucker loud and flaps around all the time when driving.

Of course there are different versions of soft covers I realize, but just some things to consider that I hadn't thought of until talking to him.
