If the doors are the same from the 1500's to the 2500's there should be NO clearance issues... In my RT have Type R's in my doors and the windows roll down fine and that's with a 6x9 to 6.5 adapter... Good Luck... What shop is it at?

Damn man, maybe they can fabricate a spacer to give you that extra clearance

Gonna need some room forward towards the door panel. Maybe a spacer? How much does he need to clear the magnet???

Are they cutting the door panel or making it fit under the door panel? You could always cut the door panel and then add spacers as needed. Won't look stock, but what the heck.

If that shop cuts those door panels I would set that place on fire and roast marshmallows.... Im in now way trying to bash anyone here but I installed car audio for 10yrs here locally and I never once told a customer that it "can't" be done until I exhausted every possible option for fitment

Look into the shallow mount JL Audio components they are a little more $$ and sound the same as the type r's ..... Or bring your equipment out to Ohio and I'll do the install for you...
