Default Looking for Wheels to extend to Bushwacker Flares

Hi there, My Wife got me a set of Pocket Style Bushwacker fender flares, I really like the aggressive look and am looking at puttting on new rims/tires to complete the look, however; with the stock 20 rims/tires the fender flare pertrudes 2 3/4 inch out from the truck. My question is what kind of offset or backspacing will be required, as well as new tire width will i require to stick out to meet the 2 3/4 inch fender flare?? Im looking at going with a 18" rim and 33/12.5 tire. Hopfully someone has an answer because im kinda confused with the offset/backspacing.

thanks!!!

the stock 20" wheels have +20mm offset. sounds like you are wanting some negative offset to push the wheels out.

I would go with a negative offset up to about 1" or something in the negative 20-25mm area depending on what units the measurement is in. Depends on the rim and tire width.

now I know you have a 2.75 flare but keep in mind that your tires will be wider than your wheels (I know I'm stating the obvious). so after mounting, your tires will be really close to your flare edge. personally I don't recommend the tires sticking out of the flare b/c every puddle or little bit of whatever you drive thru will get thrown up on your truck. some like that look but it just takes more to keep it clean.

if there a "good" tire shop in your area they should be able to help also. I would even call the Tire Rack and/or Discount Tire. Those guys are really good and can help you with the offset question also.

Thanks for your post!!! Im hoping to get my tires close to the edge of the flares but not sticking out. I really like the kmc xd series rockstar black rims, i think they will give me the stance i am looking for. They are 18x9" wide with 0 offset. Im going to have to find a good tire dealer in canada!

0 offset sounds like a good choice. post up some pics when you're done!

if you want a 33 12.50 to stick out as far as the flare you need -12 to -18 backspace, I have 33 12.50 trail grapplers on 18" xd monsters with -18 backspace and the pocket style flares

and yet another reason I hate that we got a 2wd. without lifting i believe i can only fit 31s, but that's for another thread. i like the fact the flares add to the aggressiveness.
